Your child’s first online Spanish lesson — a parent’s guide
A first meeting helps the teacher get to know your child and gives you a chance to see whether the lessons are a good fit. Aleima’s first trial lesson is free and lasts 25 minutes. Lessons are one-to-one, for children aged 7 and above and teenagers.
Before the lesson
Prepare a computer or tablet with a camera, microphone and stable internet. Check the sound beforehand.
Choose a quiet place with a clear view of the screen. Headphones can help in a busy home.
Tell Aleima your child’s age, interests and previous experience with Spanish. For school support, explain the topic or difficulty.
Arrange the time and connection details directly with Aleima on WhatsApp.
Does my child need to know Spanish?
No. The trial can be their first contact with the language. There is no need to rehearse answers: seeing what your child understands independently helps the teacher choose a starting point.
How can a parent help?
Help set up the call. You can stay nearby for a younger child, while giving them time to answer for themselves. Afterwards, ask what they remember and whether they would like another lesson.
Questions to ask afterwards
Which materials should we start with?
What lesson length and frequency would suit my child?
How can we practise between lessons and notice progress?
How do we schedule or cancel future lessons?
After the trial
There is no commitment to continue. If you decide to book more lessons, agree on a plan and the arrangements with the teacher. Progress depends on regular practice, prior experience and the learner’s needs.
